NEW: #13 TEAM PENNING DRAW POT AFTER SORTING CLASSES ARE COMPLETE, MUST ENTER SORTING TO ENTER PENNING CLASS, SORTING JUDGES, ANNOUNCER, SECRETARY ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER PENNING CLASS.
$25/RIDE, 50 % PAYBACK.
#13 CLASS DRAW ALLOWS AM & NOV RIDERS TO RIDE WITH OPEN RIDERS.

Ranch sorting award series: Jan. 7, Feb. 4, Mar. 3, April 7, May 5, finals June 2, 2012. Jan. 7 start time 10 a.m.
Must enter 5 of 6 shows to receive final awards.
Belt buckles to high point rider in each class from the 1st 3 shows combined. Must ride all 3 shows to win buckle, only 1 buckle per rider.

 Final awards to 10 places in each class which averages 25 teams per show for the series. Final awards to 5 places in each class which averages less than 25 teams.
 $10/rider/day fee.

Classes: Mandatory 1 draw & 1 pick, may pick or draw remainder of teams in each class except youth.
Open--6 ride limit--$30/ride--60% payback.
Mixed (#6 rider cap in mixed), #7, #4--5 ride limit--$25/ride--50% payback.
         #3 youth class, Pick 1, draw 2 or draw 1, 2,or 3 teams--3 ride limit--$10/ride--75% payback.
 

Points--1st = 10 points, 10th = 1 point if 10 teams in final go. 1 attendance point awarded in each class entered.

Entries close when 2d herd in preceding class enters the working pen except open ranch closes at beginning of class..

All classes--$10 day fee

Youth open to all youth 16 & under as of 1-1-12, not rated higher than #2, $10/ride, pick 1, draw 2 more or draw1,2,or 3, 75% payback, 1 place for each 5 teams to 10 places.

Running order: Open ranch,  Mixed ranch, youth ranch around noon, # 7 ranch,  #4 ranch.
Youth & #4 will run in open round pens, weather permitting.

NO COACHING, NO ROUGHING OF CATTLE OR HORSES (EXCESSIVE SPURRING OR WHIPPING), NO DOGS AT BARNS OR ARENA.

Basic Penning & Sorting Clinics
All day $100 Per Rider includes horse cues, controlling cattle & more.

4 hr. morning mini clinic--$60 per rider, includes riding with different riders as in competition, Begin with reading and controlling cattle on foot, then horseback, rules, sort and pen, work as a team. Positions, communicating with team, etc.


(4 H Clinics are 1/2 price for the kids, per rider)

Tired of riding in circles at lessons? We start riders with leg cues & more from the first ride.

Lessons with cows--$50 per hour per rider.

Full care boarding--$350 per month.
Training--$650 per month, includes boarding.  
We are available to train you & your horse for trails,
cow work, ranch sorting , team penning and  more.
We start colts from scratch, can expose to trails, trailers, cattle & more.
