About Jim and Zee Sykes

Jim & Zee both attended school at Happy, Texas.

Jim was born in Randall County, Texas in 1937. Attended school at Happy, Texas through the 10th grade. Jim moved with his family to Siloam Springs, Arkansas in 1953 where he graduated from high school in 1955. Joined the US Navy, studied electronics, served aboard the USS Ponchatoula to discharge date in 1959. Attended Texas Extension Service heavy equipment operator school at Texas  A & M, then employed by Austin Paving Co. Employed by Varo, Geotech & Unitron as electronic tech & dept. manager. Employed by Calart Flower Co. as Dallas plant manager. Left Calart to become self employed as Jimsco upholstery. Owned Rosehill (J2Z) Stables (70 stalls) for 25 plus years. Purchased present arena January, 1995, closed Jimsco.
Enjoying life with Zee from 1997 until?

Zee graduated from Happy High School & attended Wayland Baptist College.  While at Wayland she played basketball for the Flying Queens B Team.
Zee was active in the Youth River Ministry for 19 years  at the First Baptist Church, Plainview, Texas where she also served as Youth Ministry Secretary.  She competed in local cutting associations for several years.  Loves the sport of Team Penning and Ranch Sorting and very active in these.
